Disabilities

Disabilities

Those who are differently abled than us are often viewed with theĀ bias that they are less valuable, less capable, or even less intelligent as those without a disability. Prejudice against those who are disabled is widespread can can include physical or mental disabilities resulting from injury, physical or mental disabilities resulting from illness, or even physical or mental disability resulting from chromosomal or genetic abnormalities. These beautiful people are targeted for abortion, euthanasia and assisted suicide, and oppressed in school and in the work place.

In reality, people with disabilities are business owners, athletes, musicians, film stars, inventors, and more. People who are differently abled enrich our society and add a diversity of perspective that make the world a more beautiful place.

If you or someone you know is being oppressed or discriminated against because of their disability, please reach out to the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund. If you want to get involved in helping, serving, encouraging, and assisting those with disabilities, please check outĀ Joni and Friends.
